The Thunder Chickens, re-designated VMM-263 (M for Tilt Rotor), commissioned AZ to create
their first Mascot for their new aircraft – the MV-22 Osprey. They let us have some fun with
this one and the result was this strong, low-viz grey chicken carrying the traditional thunder
bolts of their squadron insignia. In addition to reproducing their 'Blue Eagle' Squadron Patch,
a desert deployment version of the patch was also ordered with matching nametags. For this
year’s historic deployment to Al Asad AB, we designed their 2 inch patch shaped
commemorative challenge coins and t-shirts in military green. Colored deployment shirts on
sport grey matching their coin back were also commissioned
. New for this summer 2008,
VMM-263 is sporting these new Mascot PT shirts and we are preparing art for the upcoming
historic first Chop-to-the-MEU.
This is the real deal!  FOTV22 brings out many qualified pointers and allows the Marines of VMM-263 to offer up their experiences and opinions. Clearly,
Richard has allowed the current story of the Osprey to be told. He illustrates that this program will set it's own destiny as the military learns to deploy and
utilize this innovative aircraft through careful force  integration - not the haste that has been previously portrayed.

This documentary has exclusive access to the squadron and the aircraft, which is an innovation in modern flight. It goes behind closed doors into secret
planning sessions, joins the pilots in the cockpit and flies with infantry assault teams to go on the Osprey’s first missions in the distant and desolate deserts
of Iraq. It features footage not seen in any other coverage of the Osprey or the war in Iraq. Shot in HD, the film reveals how the Osprey V-22 can carry troops
three times as far and go twice as fast. It is a weapon the like of which has not been seen on any battle field before now. How well it fares in the harsh reality
of warfare is revealed up close and personal in this exceptional documentary.

CONGRATULATIONS TO B CO 3-126TH FOR A SUCCESSFUL DEPLOYMENT!
B Co. 3-126th AVN "Chesapeake Hookers" are a heavy lift CH-47 Squadron out of Maryland and deployed to OEF,
Bagram AB Afghanistan. The demanding terrain makes the Chinook the best suited aircraft for these operations. Quoting the Hookers'
1SG
"You don't get noth'in around here without a Chinook!"  Adopting the call sign KONG to go with their OEF theme, the shirts are rock
tour style listing FOBs - some hotter than  others and denoted with bullet holes...We also designed their new unit patch, deployment
patches, zaps and patch shaped coins and command coins for this deployment.
President Karzai was flown on KONG Air and was treated to AZ KONG goodies - check out The President with our patches and zaps. We
have it on good authority that President Karzai is a big fan of our CH-47's and was really nice to the crews.
We did this nose art zap for the Hookers
over the holidays. CH-47D #091 AKA "The
Flying Wonder Mule". She's been busy
'up north' but set down just long enough
to reload, gas up and pose for this photo.

as well as defense support of its civil authorities. The task

Task Force Kelly, AVCRAD Fix Forward, is the U.S. Army Aviation Maintenance and Support
detachment servicing and testing the four major helicopter airframes (CH-47, AH-64, UH-60 and
OH-58) at Bagram AB. For TFK we created full color zaps and three shirts in both the short and
long sleeves.
The 962nd Airborne Air Control Squadron (962 AACS) is an E-3 unit assigned to the
3rd Wing, Elmendorf Air Force Base (AFB), Alaska. 962 AACS submitted their
historical art for the production of Velcro backed Squadron patches, Subdued
patches, Squadron zaps, Friday Black and Green E-3 zipper shirts. AZ also designed
their Squadron's challenge coin, the Commander's Award coin, and their new sport
grey "Coin Back" Arctic Sentry AWACS shirts for the Elmendorf AFB Air Show.
Recently, the Rotodome club had adopted our E-3 coin back design as their new
logo.
The Pukin' Dogs of VFA-143 commissioned us to restore the 'lean & mean'
Griffin of earlier years to their Squadron patches and shirts, including the
new Griffin highlight jacket patch and khaki name tags. The Dogs are
currently offering their new shirts at WYWD.
Mid Valley Products is an industry leader in U.S. Military Resale for the Commissary and Exchange systems with sales growing to over

embroidered oxfords, polos, caps and also ran silk screened coffee mugs and sweats.
The highly accomplished Bombardier Learjet 60 XR aircraft is a powerful and proven mid-size jet. Every attribute is a
testament to the Learjet heritage of excellence, from its legendary high-speed climbing performance and high operating
ceiling, to its great runway looks. The Bombardier Learjet 60 XR aircraft is a rocket… with class.
CommScope, Inc. (NYSE: CTV) is a world leader in the design and manufacture of cable and connectivity solutions for
communication networks' “last mile," which is the distribution access and final link to the customer. CommScope
commissioned us to create a design and produce shirts to commemorate the delivery of their new 60XR to the fleet. Shirts
were given to the entire production staff in Wichita so they could Show Their Pride!
The new BOHICA Brewing Company commissioned us
to create a series of bottle lables as well as designs
for promotional products such as silk screened shirts
and zaps. For 2008 BBC will be adding a nose art
inspired bottle label.
B Co. 2-151st AVN of the NC Army National Guard commissioned
us to create the insignia, unit patches,
zaps and shirts for their
Security & Support detachment. The result was this heraldry double
eagle in a day/night theme reflecting the squadron's mission tasking.

Sabre Society of North Carolina - Hickory Aviation Museum: We are very excited to be a part
of this project and the world got a lot smaller on this one. I had done freelance work for VF-
31 going back to 2004 with the start of my Felix&Felix designs with the “Last Cat WESTPAC
Baby!” VF-31 then took the honor and their rightful place in history flying the last sortie at
the Final Flight Ceremony, NAS Oceana. Backup Cat Felix 107 caught the spotlight as 102
suffered a ‘gen’ failure and could not fly.
The folks at SSNC-HAM took receipt of Felix 107 and have done an excellent job of getting
her settled on the ramp of her new home.
Shown in the photo left , Lt. Mike Petronis (Last
Tomcat RIO, now with the Gladiators of VFA-106) and Ed with one-zero-seven on dedication day.
2004-2006: The Tomcatters enjoyed a great run with our exclusive Felix &
Felix designs, especially for their Final Tomcat Cruise which was featured
on patches, t-shirts, challenge coins, and zippo lighters. 2007: For the
Oceana Air Show the Tomcatters commissioned a 'fly-out' style Echo shirt
with the classic 'beach ball' insignia on the front, as well as large and small
Zaps for 2008.
The Jolly Rogers of VFA-103 have a proud war-fighting legacy since the earliest days of carrier
aviation - they continue that legacy today  in the professional performance of duty.

The World Famous Jolly Rogers of VFA-103 commissioned us to create their new 2006-2008
Awards shirt and patch
"The U.S. Navy's Number ONE Strike Fighter Squadron". For 2008 we did
the air crew 'Fighter Friday' version of LOTB on Gold shirts.
In 2007 we created a History Shirt for the Oceana Air Show - "Legacy of the Bones" LOTB which
features the aircraft of the squadron's lineage and great care was taken in the reproduction of
their famous Bones insignia.

This is how VICTORY Rolls!
The GLADIATORS of VFA-106 are the Fleet Replacement and Training
Squadron out of NAS Oceana. The current syllabus covers the C, D, E, and F
Hornets for the U.S. Navy and USMC. One-Zero-Six commissioned us to
produce their shirts in squadron colors and in green for their USMC classes,
as well as the Strike Fighter Sports 2007 event shirts.
For 2008 a new color Echo shirt, Koozies, Fobs, and more squadron color
shirts featuring the C, D, E, and F schematic art. We also produced the new
2008 Strike Fighter Sports - Strike Fighter Wing Atlantic event sport shirts
"Play Tough or Go Home" featuring all of the squadron and carrier wings
insignias.

OSPREY
FACTORY
SUPPORT
New meaning for 'Factory Support': Departments from the manufacturer and the V-22
program have signed up to support VMM-263. The Flight Controls, Advanced
Composites, and the Phili Airframes teams are Showing Their Pride and have
commissioned these custom designed and officially licensed Thunder Chicken morale
items.
NOW AVAILABLE AT WYWD! This is the new Tomcat Tweaker design we created to commemorate the often overlooked
contribution of the Tomcat Maintainers. Working closely with the Veteran's at the F-14 Tomcat Association, this uniform
version was deemed the best to represent all of those supporting this historic aircraft - The Troubleshooter. He is decked
out in the flight deck helmet & goggles and leaning to the main-post tire - with our signature mischievous tail wrap. He is
also armed with the original Tweaker wrench, and a tool bag complete with punch tool and flashlight. The front features our
full sweep F-14 over the Flag, a speed wrench and wire tool. The patch version has a 4 inch round center.

OEF - HEAVY LIFT OPERATIONS
KONG passed the CH-47 torch to B Co. 1-126th AVN (The
Gold Diggers) and B Co. 6-101st AVN (The PACHYDERMS).
Following in the pinup foot steps of the now notorious
KONG, Gold Diggers and the Pachyderms commissioned
custom art for shirts, hoodies, patches and zaps that will
have them looking sharp at Bagram.
VP-62 BROADARROWS
The mission of VP-62 is to maintain assigned personnel, aircraft and equipment in a state of
readiness and availability which allows rapid deployment to meet crisis response and wartime
mobilization requirements and provides peacetime contributory support to the fleet. For the
BROADARROWS we restored the insignia art and produced FCPOA shirts, a squadron themed
zap sheet and a command poster is in the works.
MANG - Old Line Army Aviation visit
Ed finally got to meet his OEF pen-pal TOP Kecken of the World Famous KONG on a
delivery visit to Aberdeen. With our son Seth along for the tour, TOP and the crews
surprised us with an award plaque brought back from Afghanistan.  Seth got to try
out the 47, 58 and 60's on the ramp - cool factor 10+. MAJ Magness gave us a
great tour of the facilities and brought Ed up to speed on our EMP (Equipment
Marking Program). The Major gave it a good test on Gustav relief missions and the
report was 100/100 - no equipment lost or misplaced. As it turns out, Ed's Zaps are
providing a valid service in the US Army's Worldwide Logisitcs System. The
program is being expanded with the seven tenant squadrons at Aberdeen and the
upcoming deployments.
